The Studio

Where are you based?
I’m based in a cosy home studio in the heart of Chichester, just a 2 minute walk from both the train station and bus station.
If you’re driving, there’s also a pay on site car park located right next to the building, making it easy and convenient to reach the studio!

Studio Opening times
The studio is open from 9am everyday, with the latest available session varying throughout the year. In the summer months, the studio closes at 4pm, while in winter, we close at 2pm.
I like to shoot with natural daylight and these hours allow me to make the most of the best available light.

Wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the studio is wheelchair accessible! There is an elevator in the building for your convenience. Please note that the studio is carpeted.

THE SESSION

Can I get ready at the studio?
Of course you can! You’re welcome to get ready at the studio. However, I recommend you to arrive early if you need to, as it may eat into your allotted time in front of the camera.

Can I bring someone with me?
If you’re feeling nervous, you’re welcome to bring someone along for support.
That being said, I find having another person in the studio can sometimes be distracting, and my focus is on making sure you get the most from your session. Having someone else present can take away from your time.

What should I wear?
Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in, ideally your favourite clothes that represent you and make you feel like yourself!
Bring a selection of tops, jumpers and jackets so we have a few options to work with. Think about how you’d like your headshots to look and the impression you want them to give.

How should I style my hair and makeup?
It’s up to you! I always say, arrive as you would for an audition, with a natural everyday look that feels like you.
A light, fresh makeup look can help even out the appearance of your skin and reduce shine under harsh studio lights. I have a large mirror and area available for you to touch up the makeup throughout the session.
You’re welcome to add extra makeup once you’re here, such as a bold lipstick or more defined eye makeup. But I recommend getting some natural shots first. After all, casting directors want to see you!

Can I shave during the session?
Of course! In fact, I recommend it. It’s always a good idea to represent yourself in as many different ways as possible. Having a variety of looks makes the casting directors job easier!

THE PHOTOS

How long until I get my photos back?
I aim to send the low resolution, watermarked photos to you within 48 hours of your session, giving you plenty of time to review and make your decision.
Once you’ve made your choice, I'll get to work on the final edits and I aim to have your high resolution, final photos back to you within 7 business days.

How do you edit the photos?
I like to remove any blemishes and spots that can distract from the finished photo. However, I always keep your natural skin texture and any permanent features, so it still looks like you!

How many photos are taken?
In an average headshot session, I usually take around 700-900 photos. There’s a lot of choice, I know!
If you are overwhelmed by the options, don’t worry. I’m always happy to send over my photographer’s picks to help make the decision a little easier.

Can I get extra photos?
Of course, if there are any extra images you’d like professionally retouched, these are available for an additional £25 per image.
I also keep your photos on file for one year after your session. So, if a few months down the line you decide you’d like another image, simply get in touch!

I need the photos back asap, can you do this?
Yes, If you need your photos back quickly, I offer an express service for an additional £30.
Once you’ve made your selection, I’ll prioritise your edits and aim to get them back to you in 48 hours.
